Seven Just Elementary School students were chosen to record Crank Them 3's to the track of Soulja Boy last week at Morrisound Recording in Temple Terrace. Spark the Mind, as educational organization, uses hip-hop music to help kids learn. Kids wrote original lyrics that are performed to popular hip-hop songs. In this case the lyrics included the 3's multiplication facts. "I'm hoping that the kids keep listening to the lyrics, and every time they hear it, they replace in their minds the (original) lyrics for the math facts," said Just Elementary teacher Melinda Hipley, who contacted Spark the Mind.
